Will Sleep Apnea make me go blind?

A new study from Taiwan, published in this month’s edition of Ophthalmology, showed that Sleep Apnea sufferers are more likely to have glaucoma than those without.  If untreated glaucoma, which affects almost 60 million worldwide, can lead to blindness.  The disease is painless and gradual, making it difficult to identify unless checked by a doctor.

If you have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and haven’t gotten a good eye check, it may be time to call the Ophthalmologist!
